A Theatre Of Sound-Sculptured Space

This was something I thought was an interesting concept on the idea of performance / theatre space

Another interesting and growing concept along the audio avenue for me has been the advent of Silent Discos which creates a very interesting environment of simultaneous connection and disconnection in a performance arena.

Since finding out our brief to provide a conceptualization for a performance / theatre space I've been thinking about different environments that's incorporate this.

Digital Tools - Initial Thoughts

After being advised that this design semester would be orientated around that of Digital Tools I began to ponder about how we use these tools to create/alter/establish space and how they are implemented within these spaces. With regards to the tools of creation I began to think of the obvious as CAD and the like and moved more to ideas of the connection to multiple others and environments they provide. This realm of connection has always existed in a sense I guess, even without the digital tools from the homing pigeon to the telephone, but for me the idea of simultaneous connections of self to multiple environments and multiple environments attaching to self allowing research, collaboration, prediction and adjustments simultaneously in real time is something that stood out. As far as the implementation of these tools within the space I thought about that of tools like BIM and how they help establish digital controls that can be implemented within the space to create a programmable environment and experience.
